Due to a increase in class size we are adjusting the start times for the Wednesday night class at Longbridge Methodist Church. This is so that we can ensure all students get suitably focused tuition for their grade.
The new times starting this week will be:
Beginners to Purple & White Belts: 5.30pm – 6.30pm
Brown and Black Belts: 6.30pm – 8pm / 8.30pm (8pm – 8.30pm subject to students demand on the day).
With the recent changes to the club name and badge it seemed the perfect opportunity to offer the opportunity for club members to be able to purchase club embroidered gi and over-gi. These were officially unveiled this week and expertly modelled by Mike and Faye in the videos below.
If you wish to purchase either an embroidered gi or over-gi please speak to Sensei Sue.

Students of both clubs have for many years trained and graded together as part of the overall BHSKC family and this continues today. With the passing of Shihan Cummins Sensei Hession has assumed the mantle of Chief Instructor for both BHSKC and WCSKC and whilst both clubs still exist as distinct entities continuing the long tradition established with Shihan Cummins with BHSKC as one of the longest running Shotokan karate clubs in the Midlands and the success had since it’s foundation of WCSKC both clubs have come together under one roof both symbolically with the shared Chief Instructor and physically with the Longbridge Dojo housing both clubs. … Read the rest
